Our Journey Into a Family-Oriented Movement

At BBM Foundation, our journey began with one woman’s courageous decision to turn pain into purpose.

After overcoming her own lived experiences of hardship and violence, our founder, Antoinette Maluleke, carried a deep conviction that her story was not meant to end with survival alone. She believed it could become a pathway for other women facing similar struggles to find healing, direction, and the tools to rebuild their lives. But more importantly, she envisioned a space where women would not be defined by what they had endured, but empowered as survivors who could thrive.

This conviction gave birth to BBM Foundation as a woman-centred organisation, focused on restoring dignity, confidence, and practical life skills through our flagship Women Unleashed Skills Development Program. From the very beginning, our approach addressed not only economic empowerment, but emotional healing, identity, and purpose.

When the Need Expanded, So Did the Vision

As our work deepened within communities, a powerful truth became impossible to ignore:
women do not exist in isolation.

The challenges women faced were often interconnected with the realities of their families — strained relationships, absent or under-equipped men, youth lacking direction, and children growing up without spaces that nurtured their faith, confidence, and emotional well-being.

We began to see that true, sustainable transformation required more than individual empowerment. It required family restoration.

Listening closely to the needs around us, BBM Foundation made a bold and intentional transition. What began as a woman-focused initiative evolved into a family- and community-centred movement.

A New Chapter: Expanding to Serve the Whole Family

In 2025, BBM Foundation officially expanded its programs to reflect this broader calling:

  • Bold Men Skills Development Program – created to equip men with life skills, leadership tools, emotional intelligence, and a renewed sense of responsibility, purpose, and identity.
  • BBM Growth: Unleash Your Life Gap Year Program – designed for youth navigating the critical transition between school and adulthood, providing mentorship, skills development, spiritual grounding, and direction for life and career.
  • Bible Blossoms Club – a safe, nurturing space for children to grow spiritually, emotionally, and socially, planting seeds of faith, confidence, and values early in life.

These programs stand alongside our Women Unleashed Skills Development Program, forming a complete ecosystem of support that speaks to the needs of women, men, youth, and children alike.

Why Family Matters to Us

At BBM Foundation, we believe that families are the cornerstone of healthy communities. When one member of the family is supported, the ripple effect touches generations. But when entire families are equipped, healed, and aligned, transformation becomes lasting.

Our transition into a family-oriented organisation was not a departure from our original mission — it was a fulfilment of it. We realised that empowering a woman while ignoring the ecosystem around her limits the impact. Empowering the family amplifies it.
